Story: Bethany came into rescue as a senior lady. She had known only a life linked to a chain, living in  the most basic of shelter in the severity of the elements. She felt the cold of winter and the overwhelming heat of summer - never the gentle touch of a human hand showing the smallest bit of kindness. Yet through all of this, her gentle and loving spirit came through as she embraced all she met with gentle hugs in her year with us.

The name Bethany was chosen for this very special girl, because much like the story from that takes place so many years ago in the town of Bethany, our own little Bethany was brought from death into life. And in her time with us she was blessed and blessed those who knew her.  We will always remember the joy we felt knowing that we gave her a year of dignity and comfort she so richly deserved and the love she evidenced in that year of knowing what life could have been.

Bethany will always be remembered as a loving lady who inspires us to rescue those who are hurting and offer new life with dignity. Bethany, you touched many and we are blessed because of you. Enjoy the bridge and the life of comfort there as well.
