CARA's Little Star

Petey and Shannon

Submitted by: Hedy Carleu

Story: Petey and Shannon are stars in their own way. They are first class pranksters.  They have not been abused, they were given up due to unfortunate circumstances.  We were told that they were siblings one year apart. Neither their looks nor personality are in any way alike.

They keep coming up with new tricks. They are experts in snitching food, unpacking grocery bags or even boxes. Every once in a while they write their own stories and make a fool out of me. I even had to put childproof locks on my kitchen cabinets. The first time I left them alone, they sat on the kitchen table to look out. The first time I took them grocery shopping Petey ate 5 English Muffins on the way home.  After a fundraiser in Vermont, my sister had made dinner and a dessert; who do you think ate some of the chocolate covered Strawberries?  Shannon. And on it goes. They even taught their friend Murphy how to get on the kitchen table from the window seat.

They are fun pooches, but no angels that deserve a star.

Well, maybe just one one....  :)
