CARA's Little Star

Chandler

Submitted by: Suzanne Boquet

Story:  Chandler was Chuck and my first dog together in 1986 and my first cocker since I was a very little girl. I apparently had a little parti cocker when I was two or three and all I remember is crying when my dad told me he died.

At any rate, Chandler belonged to some friends of Chucks, and they were going to have to get rid of him due to him fighting with their other dog. He was about 3 when we got him and just the most beautiful guy. Buff and the big wide cocker face and eyes. It was love at first sight and he was such a great dog. Regrettably, he got ill and had to have his spleen removed. I don't really understand what happened and the Dr. said he should have been fine, but he never really recovered and we had to have him put down less then a month later, he was only 8 years old.

But while we had him, we found someone who was looking for a nice looking dog to breed her pretty red cocker with and so we had mated Chandler with her and got to choose a pup. She was a beautiful dog but had what I call, "head noises" but had 6 darling puppies.
