Raindrops on
roses and whiskers on cockers . . . .
Isn't that how the song goes? If you love
cocker spaniels it does! And for Cocker Pals Rescue, one
of our favorite things is taking in the cockers that have no
where else to go. And right now we are covered up in
favorite things - three special needs cockers that came in
together who need our help. They are three of a group of
seven that came out of a severe neglect case and are finally
getting the love and attention they've needed and deserved for
so long.
 Robin
is about five years old and has a developing cataract in her
right. This does not slow down her quest for love, hugs,
and belly rubs, though. She loves to be held! She is
scheduled for her spay and dental check up and then will be
going to Cornell University to see if the cataract can be
removed.
 At
only eight years old, Tucker is blind due to a
combination of Glaucoma and cataracts. Cocker Pals still
wants to give him every opportunity to see, though, so he will
be visiting Cornell as well. And although he's blind, he's
found his way around Joan's house and already knows how to find
and use the doggy door. Nothing slows Tucker down!
 And
this is Murphy Brown and even though she's the oldest (10
years old) she's the healthiest of them all! She loves her
people and just follows them everywhere. She we be spayed
soon, have a mass removed and dental work done and then she will
be ready to go to a forever home!
The Our Favorite Things Raffle will run from
Monday, April 23, through Monday, May 7th. Winners
will be announced Wednesday, May 9th to allow time for checks to
arrive. Tickets may be purchased via paypal or check.
